Tiny, temperamental and tremendous fun. That just about summarises the 2021 Don Parker Trophy at the 78th Goodwood Members’ Meeting. And after a slightly chaotic start following several engine stalls, the little 500cc machines put on a show of nimbleness for Sunday’s crowd.
With first and second coming together in nearly disastrous fashion along one of the fastest sections of track, historical accuracy would prevail with the race win eventually going to a Cooper-Norton Mk11 that so often dominated Formula 3 meets in-period.
Catch-up on the key moments here and join us in congratulating George Shackleton for his calm and collected victory.
