80MM timetable

05th April 2023
Ben Miles

We’re incredibly excited to reveal the timetable for the 80th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. The first event of the 2023 motorsport season will be an incredible mix of on track demonstrations and historic motorsport action spanning from the earliest days of automotive history to the very latest supercars.

The weekend begins with a very special demonstration from Gordon Murray Automotive, before the bulk of Sunday is made up of practice sessions that will see nearly every car racing this weekend on track at some point.

All eyes will be on the track at 11.30 when Bentley will be putting on a display that will be revealed closer to the event before the cars from probably the weekend’s showpiece race: the Gordon Spice Trophy, head out for their practice session.

Our first demonstration of the weekend will take place at 12.40 on Saturday with 20 racing Porsche 911s displaying on track. The other demos will follow at 15.50 for the Brabham BT52 and 2000s GT1 cars ending the day at 19.30.

Saturday isn’t just for practice and demos though, there will be five races on the first day. These begin with the first part of the Hailwood Trophy, the Members’ Meetings’ only bike race, followed by the awesome Gurney Cup for V8-engined sportscars.

At 17.15 the monstrous pre-war cars of the S.F. Edge Trophy will have their first race before both heats of the Gordon Spice Trophy follow in quick succession. For those at the circuit, the legendary Saturday night party will start at 19.30.

Sunday also begins with GMA strutting its stuff on track – details of which are yet to be revealed – before the final two practice sessions of the weekend are all completed before 10:00.

From then on, it’s all racing and demonstrations for the rest of the day. Beginning with the Threlfall Cup for Formula Junior cars – always an entertaining battle – and following into the second appearance for the GT1 cars.

Highlights for the rest of Sunday include the Jim Clark Trophy, a two-driver race for just Lotus Cortinas, the second parts of the S.F. Edge Trophy and Hailwood Trophy and the final of the Gordon Spice Trophy. The other two demos, for the Brabham BT52 and Porsche 911s, will fill the rest of the day.
