From woodland den building and sustainable crafting to remote-controlled car time trials inspired by the legendary Festival of Speed, May Half Term at The Goodwood Hotel offers something for children of all ages – from curious little ones to thrill-seeking teens.
Younger children will love making their own (healthy) chocolate bars, meet and ride ponies and build dens in the woods, while older kids and teens test their aim with junior clay shooting, step into race simulators, or take the wheel in our Junior Driving Experience.

Get out in the woods and let your imagination run wild. Located close to the hotel, this activity invites families to step outdoors, get creative and work together to craft their very own woodland fortress, hideaway, or retreat. Using natural materials and plenty of teamwork, it’s the perfect way to enjoy fresh air, spark creativity, and make lasting memories together in the great outdoors.
Step back in time and embrace the history of cricket at Goodwood, one of the first places where the game was played regularly and where some of the earliest rules were recorded. In this spirited session, families can enjoy a game of Kwik Cricket, complete with a fun net session and a lively team game, designed to ignite a love for the sport in children and adults alike.
Learn about Goodwood’s equestrian heritage with a special pony experience inspired by our world-famous Racecourse. Get hands-on with our Horse Groom & Ride Experience at Goodwood, where kids can learn to care for a horse before saddling up for a memorable ride. This introductory session is suitable for ages 4-10 years old.
Inspire children from a young age to be passionate about wildlife as part of Goodwood’s ‘Revive & Thrive’ initiatives to rethink, repair and re-wear. Get crafty and re-use plastic water bottles into much-needed bird and bee water feeders for those warm summer months while learning about sustainability and wildlife.
Get ready for some friendly competition at Goodwood’s Sports Day. Inspired by the spirited tradition of our annual Member’s Meeting, kids will join House Teams to compete for the coveted House Cup. With high-energy activities and plenty of laughs, this sports day is all about teamwork and fun.

Our Junior Golf Camps are perfect for children aged 5 - 13, welcoming young golfers of all skill levels to an exciting and supportive environment. Led by our expert coaching team, these sessions combine fun and skill-building to help kids grow in confidence while mastering every aspect of the game.
Discover your inner Sir Stirling Moss, as you take on the historic Motor Circuit from the Simulator Suite on Brooklands Lawn. Feel every part of the challenging track as you get to know all of its demanding corners, quick straights, and tight chicanes. Set lap times with your competitors and attempt to make it on to the Motor Circuit leader board.
Those Under-17 can get behind the wheel for the first time at Goodwood Motor Circuit. Start with the Young Driver Learner Experience and progress through three exciting Missions on the Dynamic Training Zone. Receive a Young Driver Log Book to help track development. Once all three missions are complete, juniors can complete the programme with the Young Drivers Graduation Experience which takes place on the 2.4-mile circuit.

All sessions are subject to availability and will operate on a first come first serve basis. We do encourage early booking to avoid disappointment.

There is no food or drinks available throughout the sessions, with the exception of the Little Farmers Tea Time at Farmer, Butcher, Chef each day. It is advised that children should bring a water bottle with them to each activity.

A minimum of one adult over the age or 18 years old needs to be present with every two children for non-water based activities.
Up to two adults can join each session with the child. It is actively encouraged for adults to participate in activities with their children.
For pool-side and swimming activities there should be one adult present for every child taking part.

All instructors are all DBS checked and each activity and area is thoroughly checked and risk-assessed prior to the start of all activities. Adults who are accompanying with the children taking part in each activity are responsible for their children during the session and should stay with them at all times.
There will be a first aider on site throughout each activity.

Yes, they are all created to be a small group size, with adult supervision, there is always a space for children to take a break in if they need.
