10 Foods You Should Buy Organic

15th September 2017

The benefits of eating organic food are widely documented; from the advantages to our personal health, to the fact that it also helps the planet. As this month is #OrganicSeptember, here are a few foods you should consider buying organic.

Whilst consuming organic foods may seem to be a healthier, more positive way of living, there is the down side that it is often more expensive. A large avocado in your local, for example, may cost £1; however you would pay £1.80 for an organic (and frequently much smaller) one. So is it really worth opting for an avocado that will barely cover a slice of granary?

With September being National Organic Month, here is a list of the foods you should really buy organic, and the ones you can probably get away with buying regular versions of.

  1. Apples
  2. Celery
  3. Strawberries
  4. Nectarines
  5. Pears
  6. Spinach
  7. Grapes
  8. Cherries
  9. Peaches
  10. Tomatoes

Did you know? Products such as milk and dairy are better bought organic as they tend to contain higher levels of vitamins, minerals and levels of omega-3.
