What have the rich and famous been getting up to during lockdown? Thanks to Rolls-Royce we now have an insight into their very exclusive online world…
When you buy a new Rolls-Royce you are entitled to become a members of Whispers, what the Goodwood-based manufacturer calls the world’s most exclusive members’ club. But there are no oak-panelled walls or leather armchairs here; Whispers is a computer application.
“Whispers offers transformative experiences to an extraordinary community of like-minded individuals,” says the firm. But even Rolls-Royce has been surprised at the “unique and astounding” topics that have been trending on the app, all curated by the brand’s luxury intelligence unit.
The top 10 trending topics are:
“Rolls-Royce clients have turned to Whispers for solace and enlightenment during this period; it has been a time of reflection, a time to focus on well-being and planning for the future,” says Verena Masters, head of Whispers.
“Bespoke creations demonstrate the Rolls-Royce patron’s inclination to surround themselves with unique and highly personal items. Something that at Rolls-Royce, we know only too well.”
Well, we might not be able to join Whispers and get a cooking lesson from a world-class chef, but at least we can watch Gordon Ramsay call someone an ‘idiot sandwich’ on YouTube and scream “IT’S RAW”.
