Video: Meet the outrageous new McLaren 765LT

The 720S is pretty extreme: but McLaren decided it didn’t go far enough. This 765LT takes aerodynamics and lightness to the next level. 80kg lighter and 25 per cent more downforce than the 720S, the 765LT is a track-oriented monster.

The familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 remains, though now power output, as the name suggests, has been boosted to 765PS (755bhp). Rocket-like acceleration kicks the 765LT from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds with a v-max of 205mph. Clad almost entirely in carbon, the extended front splitter and huge rear diffuser make it look as if it belongs on a racetrack.

Before they released images of the McLaren 765LT, we were invited to a studio to take a sneak peak, and bring you all the info on this newest, most hardcore, McLaren supercar.
