And how do we know about this? Well, thanks to the likes of Auto Addiction we’ve seen them in action, in the process of honing their various settings and setups at the ‘Ring.
But because the Nordschleife has become the go-to place to test cars, these hypercars aren’t alone in their use of the track. At one point they’re joined by the Porsche 911 GT3, pretty expected, but then a Hyundai Kona N, perhaps a car less easily related to the Green Hell.
Perhaps the most interesting sections of this video are the Project One and Centodieci, cars we’ve yet to really see properly running in the wild, but which by all visuals here seem to be approaching customer-ready status.
Even though we’ve seen the Project One many times over many years it still looks pretty special, even in a slightly dull red-and-grey testing livery. Sadly the sound, from its F1-derived V6, is more of a whisper than a roar, but you can’t expect everything.
As if to just prove that hypercars may be the last word in performance, but not the first in thrills, the best sounding car in this entire video comes toward the end. That award goes to what appears to be a next-generation Porsche Cayman GT4, complete with swan-neck wing, that heads off out with a rather delightful howl. Hypercars? Who needs ‘em?
