There’s a lot of doom and gloom about, and for good reason. But here, now, we’re not here with a sad story. We’re not here with news that’ll bring you down. We’re here with news that’ll make you cry happy tears, tears of joy and excitement. The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA configurator is live, and Alfa has announced that the GTA will be yours for €176,500, or £153,400.

If you had planned a productive day we’re afraid you’re going to have to cancel everything. You can lose a lot of time with any car configurator, but on the configurator of what will probably be one of the most exciting Alfa Romeo road cars ever? You might lose a week.

It isn’t just the Giulia GTA, however, but the more extreme Giulia GTAm, too, which, Alfa says, is priced from €181,500, or £157,700. Sure, it’s a fairly simple configurator and not all that extensive (you can’t add ten floormats, for example, as you can with the Porsche 911 configurator), but there’s enough to work with to create the ideal spec. And by clicking from GTA to GTAm you get to watch the rear of the car drive by a handful of millimetres.

What’s your dream spec? Personally it’s green with yellow brake callipers (the roll cage goes green, too…). Let us know.

Click here to use the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA configurator and say goodbye to productivity…
