Remember Singer’s latest reimagining of the 911, the Classic Turbo, which made its debut at the Festival of Speed in 2023?  Well, the range is expanding. Revealed today is a selection of additional versions, including a Slantnose, a Targa and a Cabriolet. This as a celebration of the 911 Turbo’s 50th birthday.

“The 911 Turbo was launched fifty years ago,” said Singer founder Rob Dickinson.

“Since then, it has been a poster child, autobahn hero and race winner, loved by drivers and enthusiasts around the world. We’re excited to be collaborating with owners to celebrate this icon of road and track and to wish the turbocharged 911 a very happy birthday.”

In terms of what you can expect, these are very much variations on Singer’s Classic Turbo services. The options are the same, as are the stylised carbon bumpers, carbon bodywork and shark fin intake and indeed, the numbers.

That means a twin-turbocharged flat-six with variable geometry turbos sending 510PS (375kW) to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Each car is available to be configured either towards more sporting, track-focused driving, or more road- and touring-focused driving.

Beautiful things, now available in a couple of different flavours. The Slantnose will be the rarest of them, with just 25 set to be made. All, predictably, are sold, even at getting on for £1million. Singer tells us that their turbocharged cars will be a feature of Monterey Car Week.
