Lotus names first SUV Eletre

The name reveal comes with a few hints as to what we’re getting tomorrow. Teasers include shots of the flat bottomed and topped steering wheel and digital instruments, the carbon-infused wheels, the blade-like lights and the swooping SUV profile. There’s lots of talk of power, soul, energy, and heart, suggesting Lotus is going the whole hog on infusing its SUV with some special sauce, rather than simply pumping out a cynical range filler.

So needless to say it’ll be fast, aggressive-looking (in keeping with the Evija and Emira) and if not Chapman-standards of light, choc-full with futuristic tech and clever engineering. Stay tuned to GRR for the full reveal as it happens…
