Rally-spec Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato teased

By the looks of things this Huracan Sterrato will not be jumping several feet into the air with massive suspension travel to cushion the blow, but there’s no doubt it’ll be a lot more capable on dirt and gravel than any Lamborghini before, with the exception of the LM002, of course. The car rides higher, there’s some chunky black plastic protecting the wheel-arches and sills, there are roof rails, two sets of LED fog lights on the nose and, as a prototype, there’s the same camouflage we saw on the Essenza SCV12. The car is very much rear-wheel-drive, too, sliding all over the place in a weird race against a mountain biker.

We first saw a glimpse of the Sterrato back in 2019 when Lamborghini threw out seven pictures of a safari Huracan. With the exception the paint job, light placement and front bumper it doesn't look as though much has changed since then. That car rode 47mm higher, sat on 20-inch wheels with big, high sidewall off-road tyres, and had its front and rear tracks extended by 30mm, a nod, Lamborghini said, to the Jarama Rally and Urraco Rally one-offs of the mid-1970s.

We hope Lamborghini goes all out with this. Don't let this just be a rear-wheel-drive Huracan with a few rally-ready cosmetic changes, give it some serious mechanical upgrades, too. In other words: Lamborghini, throw the kitchen sink at this thing.
