Hyundai is planning its next SUV-flavoured Ioniq outing, with a preview due in the Seven concept. The full reveal is expected at the AutoMobility LA Show on 17th November but for now, we have some teasers.
The marque says the Seven and subsequently the production version will feature “a form following function design that dares to diverge from traditions of the internal combustion engine era”. What we can expect is a continuation of the eight-bit retro-modern themes first explored very successfully in the Ioniq 5 small SUV.
What have we got so far? Well, our first hints of that pixelated lighting design being continued up front. The other shots of the car are inside, showing off the art-deco design in some fancy seats and soft architectural lighting. Hyundai call’s the Seven’s interior vibe “a premium and personalised lounge ambience” and claims many sustainable materials have been used in its construction.
That’s all there is to know on the Seven for now. We can probably infer that the production version will wear the Ioniq 7 name but that’s some ways off yet. How long? We might find out at the reveal of the concept.
