Gallery: From Ferrari FXX to Peugeot 205 T16 – Retromobile auction

09th February 2018
Ben Miles

With Bonhams and RM Sothebys getting their Paris sales out of the way earlier in the week, today (February 9) brings the turn of Artcurial and their Retromobile sale at the Expo Centre.

The preview collection's space at the back of Centre's second hall always leaves the cars on display fighting for space to be seen, but there is no denying that centre stage has been stolen this year by a stunning black 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet. The beautiful droptop is expected to sell for €7-9million (£6.1-7.9million) when the hammer drops.

Fighting hard for your attention just a few short feet away is a vivid red Ferrari FXX – which comes complete with spare wheels and tyres and full toolkit. If you want this collection to be yours you'll need to find around €3million (£2.6million). But if your tastes are slightly more road-based, or you can't quite stretch that far there is also a 'standard' Enzo on offer just nearby (yours for 'only' €1.8-2.2million).

Not far from the Ferraris is a trio that will make any hot hatch fan's heart sing. An immacualte Clio Williams (€30-40,000) rests near its older sibling, the awesome Renault 5 Turbo (€90-120,000). But, in front of both of them, stands a rare beast – a 1985 Peugeot 205 T16. The homologation special still looks as aggresive as it did back in the days of Group B and can be yours for €140-180,000 (£123,000 – 158,000).

We'd be hard pushed to make a selection, but if we really had to GRR might be driving away in that mighty little Peugeot...
