If you thought Ducati’s Hypermotard couldn’t get any edgier then think again, for the Italian manufacturer has revealed a special graffitied edition, which is every bit as aggressive as the concept upon which it is based.

Following the social media success of the Hypermotard 950 Concept, which was revealed at last year’s Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, Ducati has brought the model to fruition in the Hypermotard 950 RVE.

Achieved using low thickness decals, the intricate Graffiti livery is comparable to that of an airbrush paintjob, and accentuates the Hypermotard’s aggressive design of a long wheelbase, short body, twin-underseat exhausts and an exposed trellis frame

And central to the ‘motard’ ethos is the twin-cylinder 937cc Testastretta 11-degree engine, which boasts 115PS at 9,000 rpm and 96Nm of torque, 80 per cent of which is available from 3,000 rpm. Alongside the standard electronics package of the base model – which includes Bosch Cornering ABS with Slide by Brake function, Ducati Traction Control Evo (DTC EVO) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO – the RVE will feature the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO.

The new model will sit in the middle of the Hypermotard 950 range, below the high-spec SP, which adds racing graphics, increased travel Öhlins suspension and Marchesini forged rims. It will enter Ducati dealerships next month with an SRP of £11,750.
