Bugatti Chiron Super Sport tributes Type 57 SC Atlantic

Recreating the Atlantic's unique paint was Bugatti's first challenge. Jascha Straub, Lead Designer at Bugatti, was dispatched to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, to capture the silver-tinted blue hue of the original Type 57 in situ and under various light conditions. 

Paint done, the next job was developing a fitting tribute to the classic's grille while fulfilling the cooling requirements of a 273mph hypercar. The finished effort features polished vertical rungs and a thicker centre spine than a 'regular' Super Sport.

The One of One's five-spoke alloy wheels are finished in the same blue as the bodywork with chrome highlights, while the underside of the rear wing features a hand-drawn silhouette of the Type 57 complete with 'One of One' script.

Inside, you'll find the wing silhouette hand stitched in Lightning Blue onto the car's door panels, along with Gaucho leather upholstery. Meanwhile, the centre console gets a 'One of One' inlay, and a tribute to Rembrandt Bugatti's Dancing Elephant sculpture is embroidered onto the headrests. Finally, the Bugatti's door sills feature Rembrandt's and Jean Bugatti's signatures.
