Behold the Ducati Diavel for Bentley

You'd assume a 740PS Bentley Batur – one of just 18 made - would be unique enough for most, but in the land of the mega rich, you can't have enough exclusivity, which is where the Ducati Diavel for Bentley comes in. It's a run of 550 Ducati Diavels built to celebrate the Bentley Batur.

The first 500 get the Scarab Green paint shown here, along with forged alloy wheels – inspired by the car's rims – finished in Dark Titanium Satin. The bike's two-tone air intakes reflect the car's grille, and the design of its front mudguard, fairing, and fuel tank takes inspiration from the bonnet. The bike's kicked-up back end is supposed to emulate the Bentley's confident haunches, and its Alcantara leather seat matches the car's interior.

Carbon-fibre glistens on the Ducati like diamonds on a red carpet – the headlamp, engine and exhaust covers are all made from it, as are the fenders, tailpiece and side panels. Ironically, Bentley uses a sustainable alternative called flax.

The remaining 50 bikes – called Diavel for Bentley – reach another level.

They'll only be offered to Mulliner customers, meaning, if you're lucky enough to be in that position, you can configure your Ducati's wheels, carbon-fibre parts, front brake calipers and saddle from Bentley's palette. And have the bike finished with the same paint as your car. Turn its key, and your Diavel for Bentley also produces a unique animation on the tail light and infotainment screen.

The last 50 bikes, delivered in customised wooden boxes, have a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat, a cover and a plaque with the model name and production number. Bentley and Ducati will also sell you a helmet and leathers with colours to match your car and bike. The resulting combination will surely be a rare – and pricey – find on the auction house circuit many years from now.

And prices? With a regular Diavel starting from around £25,000 you can expect Bentley's version to cost a huge amount more than that.
