We are on the verge of a new Aston Martin Vantage, and it’ll launch on 12th February alongside the new AMR24 F1 car and the highly anticipated Vantage GT3 racer.

Aston is talking a big game with this one, although we’re only expecting to see updates to the looks and a little increase in power.

A traditional rival to the likes of the Porsche 911 and Mercedes-AMG GT, Aston Martin claims the new Vantage is “a sportscar engineered for real drivers; for those that crave driving purity and revel at the limit.”

The teaser image we do have shows a new piece of trim featuring the Aston Martin lettering added to the vents on the leading edge of the doors. The bonnet shape is also set to change to a more traditional setup from the clamshell of the soon to be replaced model. You can also see a hint of the more aggressive haunches of this updated Vantage.

Expect a general refresh of the front end, although nothing wholesale. The Aston grille will likely remain untouched, but the chin is likely to be sharpened up.

What we do know for sure is that the updated Vantage will be V8 only, and power is likely to be upped from its current 510PS (375kW) to try and keep with its more potent contemporaries.

Stay tuned on the 12th February for the full reveal of the new Aston Martin Vantage, we’ll have all the details.
