Video: Retromobile might be the coolest car show in the world
Retromobile 2023 is on the horizon and we can’t wait to hop on that train to Paris and surround ourselves once more with many of the coolest and more consequential cars of all time. So just to help settle the excitement, we’ve been taking a look back at some footage of last year’s event.
It’s an incredibly cool video. Shot (we assume) by a drone as it flies around the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles in Paris. It says a lot that the first thing we see is a display of seven McLaren F1s in various forms, but forgive us for gasping in even greater pleasure at the group of Renault 5s that follows.
It’s such a broad mix of machinery. From the Renault 5 to Formula 1 cars, to what looks like every generation of Porsche 911 and so much more besides. One certainty is that you’re bound to see something you weren’t expecting and that one day of wandering around the halls is bound to prove too short a time to appreciate everything on display.
