It’s a battle of some of the greatest drivers of all time, on tarmac, ice and even snow, through the mountains to the north of one of the most glamorous places on earth.

Well this video might be just the ticket. It showcases just what the iconic test in the south of France can offer to any true blooded motorsport fan. This is the competitors, some of the finest drivers ever to strap themselves into a rally car – Ott Tanak, Sebasiten Ogier, Thierry Neuville – absolutely flat-out on some reasonably sketchy tarmac. And we mean flat-out, this video appears to have captured some of the fastest sections of special stage that the Monte goes through. It’s really stirring stuff.
