Video: This pure Porsche 911 RSR Le Mans onboard is heaven
In case you needed any proof that the 2018 Porsche 911 RSR GTE car was possibly the greatest sounding racing car of all time, here is an onboard with all vestiges of commentary remved – at Le Mans.
The 911's flat-six has always sounded incredible, but there was a few years in the late 2010s when Porsche added what seemed to be a straight-pipe kit to an already astonishing car and bam – magic.
Some rather clever person has now uploaded a bit of onboard from the 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours, from two separate 911 RSRs, with all the commentary track removed. So this is just six minutes of glorious ambient noise from trackside and onboard the 911. The high pitched wine of that flat six is something that will stay with us forever.
