Here’s another frenzied WRC on-board from the endlessly talented Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle to set the heart rate and blood pressure soaring.
It’s hard enough to keep up with Paul Nagle’s navigation notes from the comfort of an armchair, so it’s anyone’s guess how the nutty Kris Meeke has the slightest idea of what’s going on.
It’s clear from this full 15-minute on-board from last year's Rally Finland that Meeke really does know what’s going on. The speeds achieved by the impossibly brave Brit across the washboard surface are unfathomable to us mere mortals. The fact the majority of the stage is lined with dense forests makes the commitment of the two men even more impressive. Come the end of the rally Meeke had set a new record for the fastest ever WRC round and become the first Brit to win the event formerly known as the 1,000 lakes.
