It’s a good week for Goodwood legend and motorbike hero Sam Sunderland, isn’t it? He has no less than two Dakar victories under his belt as of last weekend, so we thought it appropriate to celebrate Sam with a look at one of his latest incredible stunts: racing to the tallest building in the world.
Being “late for a photoshoot” is a great excuse to mount up and rip across the desert, in a race to the Burj Khalifa. Whopping up dust, he stops along the way for a bike change, before jumping dunes and leaping sand-slathered highways on his way into Dubai. Being Sam, he doesn’t take the prescribed route, passing through a golf course, an aquarium and a mall, before mercifully parking up outside the Burj. Obviously, he then goes to the top to be the highest person on a man-made structure. All in a day’s work.
