Who doesn’t dig a healthy dose of stateside racing action? Excellent weather, wide, open circuits and an array of exciting racing cars make for a captivating clip. And this onboard from Watkins Glen International is no exception, with a SCCA Spec Racer Ford flying around the New York circuit with aplomb.
With the throttle wide open throughout, the driver Denny Stripling, who goes by the name of RacerX (Phantom9192) on YouTube, makes light work of the 5km or so of tarmac.
In the Majors Feature Race that took place under SEI Motorsports back in 2015 all kinds of dramas unfolded, with missed shifts, mangled fiberglass, and a last lap pass for the win.
