Isotta Fraschini has revealed its Tipo 6 LMH Competizione racer, for use in the top class in the World Endurance Championship. While the car isn’t getting a full season of racing, each round entry will be individually granted, with an expected Monza debut.

The car uses a Michelotto chassis and as above, is a hypercar, which allows it also to be all-wheel drive. The first chassis is at present in the dyno testing phase and will hit the track imminently. Once the car is ready, Vector Sport will run and manage the car’s campaign in the WEC.

“The Tipo 6 LMH Competizione is now in its complete and real configuration and the intentions for the 2023 season remain those of competing in the 2023 WEC championship with the ‘race by race’ formula, as soon as the car is homologated by the FIA,” said director of motorsport Claudio Berro.

“In the meantime, we will be grinding kilometers together with the team Vector Sport to be ready as soon as possible.”

While the LMH is a priority, there are plans for a private track version, named ‘Pista’, freed of race homologation rules for enthusiast customers. Likewise, even a road version is in the works, with a one-off ‘Strada’ car being made that “can be repeated” on request.
