Iron Dame Karen Gaillard secures Porsche Carrera Cup drive

The Porsche Junior programme is an initiative by the Stuttgart manufacturer to promote talent to the highest levels of sportscar racing, and alumni include many drivers who have ascended to the Le Mans 24 Hours. Names who have risen from Porsche Junior include Timo Bernhard, Marc Lieb, Earl Bamber, Matt Campbell, Mike Rockenfeller and Michael Christensen. The 23-year-old Swiss Gaillard will be hoping to add her name to that rarefied list of names.

The Porsche Carrera Cup France is one of a number of national single-make 911 series that give a diverse group of drivers the chance to showcase and develop their skills behind the wheel. Gaillard commented: “Being elected Junior Porsche Carrera Cup France is both an honour and a superb opportunity and I know that the work has only just begun because the championship is so competitive."

Her success concludes a strong first season racing as part of the Iron Dames squad, who recently announced a partnership with Manthey Racing for the 2025 WEC season.
