2024 F1 Academy standings
Doriane Pin may have taken both race wins in Qatar, but Abbi Pulling did what she needed to do to win the 2024 F1 Academy title – her first single-seater championship, with a second-place finish in race one. Prema’s Maya Weug joined the pair on the podium, finishing third.
Pin dominated the weekend, topping the timesheets in every session. Race two was cancelled due to repairs being made to barriers at the Lusail International Circuit, though Pin’s pole position earned her another two points. Pulling, meanwhile, had the benefit of a simply insurmountable 95-point championship lead, and finished behind in second to get the job done, while Weug was a couple of seconds back in third.
Hamda Al Qubaisi finished fourth, while wildcard Alisha Palmowski put on a great showing, pipping ART’s Lia Block to a fifth-place finish by just under 0.6 seconds. Jessica Edgar moves up to ninth in the standings after finishing seventh in Qatar, and Nerea Martí’s eighth-place finish also sees her move up to fourth in the championship.
The final points went to Aurelia Nobels in ninth – another who benefits from moving up the standings, to tenth, and to Emely De Heus who finished in tenth.
