Video: Listen to the ear-pounding growl of a 289 Cobra
Situated mere miles from the scenic south coast, this historic circuit has seen its fair share of legendary cars and drivers. But, believe it or not, we’re not actually referring to Goodwood… Instead, today’s Elevenses takes us to the wonderful Circuit Paul Ricard, which while it shares many things with our home circuit, boasts a significantly warmer climate.
The star of the show is a beautiful AC Cobra Daytona Coupe, managed by Wassermann Racing Service, and thanks to Youtuber 19Bozzy92, we’re able to climb aboard during the qualifying session of the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet’s Sixties' Endurance Series.
Taking place during the Peter Auto-run event over the weekend of 25th-26th July 2020, the Sixties’ Endurance Series welcomed a host of Jaguar E-types, Bizzarrini 5300 GTs and Shelby Cobras among others.
Watch as our protagonist battles with those very cars in a glorious display of deft driving and that growling Ford 289 small block V8 sound.
