Video: Rover SD1 v BMW 528i – Group A track test

The brawny yet sharp Group A Rover SD1 formerly of Andy Rouse, and the polar opposite feather-light raspy BMW 528i, took to the track for a bit of a shakedown, comparison, and a preview for the glorious Group A high speed demo’ that we have at the coming 75^th Members’ Meeting.

In the video above, 2013 BTCC Champion and GRR track tester, Andrew Jordan, gives us his impressions. Much as you might expect, the 528 is a ballerina and the SD1 is a UFC fighter. Both are elegant, but are vastly different means to the same end. As AJ says, the SD1 is a credit to the supreme motorsport preparation prowess behind it, and the 528i is a joy, revelling in a good kicking.
