If you're going to race into the night, you need some practice in the night right? How about qualifying as the darkness falls then? Well that's exactly what they've been doing at the Classic 24 at Daytona. On Friday evening the cars raced in final qualifying races to set the grids for the 2019 Daytona 24.
Not all cars raced in the dark, but with the Floridian skies unusually ledden this weekend and a cold wind whipping into Daytona Beach, the light declined much faster than might have been expected. Pretty soon the headlights were being picked out of the darkness brighter than ever, but that diminishing light didn't damped the fighting spirit at all.
