Last Spring, when Britain went into this strange new thing we called “lockdown”, GRR teamed up with expert motorsport artist Tim Layzell to bring kids of all ages some fun in the form of a colouring contest. Well, now lockdown is nothing new. So as we find ourselves in the third version of it, we thought it was high time we did it again.
This time, Tim has made an original drawing just for the colouring competition. It’s a Porsche 917 LH, but a very special one – it’s the incredible psychedelic liveried car. While the psychedelic livery might not be as famous as, say, the Pink Pig or Gulf liveries, it’s by far the more interesting of the liveries to recolour. A vibrant riot of colour we would like to see what you make of this amazing machine.
We don’t just want to see recreations of the original livery, although those are of course welcome, but we would love to see what new colour combinations you can come up with. The original livery was made in the 1970s, so now, over forty years later, we reckon you can probably make it even better.
If you, or the littlest ones in your family, do take part, we’d love to see your efforts. While there is no prize we want to share anything you do, brilliant or abstract, by children from three to 93 and beyond. So share them on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #gwartattack and we’ll share the brilliant designs you send in.
