With just over a week to go we’re very excited to be able to announce the daily themes for our first-ever Goodwood Speed Weekend stream, which brings together some legendary moments from all three of our headline events into one awesome three-day online celebration of motorsport and more.

The Speed Weekend, which starts on May 8th and continues over the whole bank holiday weekend, will be streamed on all social media channels and right here on GRR, in full, for free.

We’ll begin on Friday May 8th with a commemoration of the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Our full day of action will feature fantastic content from the Goodwood Revival that relates to the historic moment that war in Europe finally came to an end after nearly six years of bitter fighting.

Pre- and post-war racing was some of the most thrilling ever and we have a number of races representing that period including the bonkers Brooklands Trophy for pre-war GT cars. Interspersed with the wheel-to-wheel action will be military celebrations from previous Revivals including warbird flypasts, parades of D-Day vehicles and even the ceremonial firing of a massive naval gun.

Saturday and Sunday will feature two full days of motorsport action from the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, revived Goodwood Members’ Meetings and more Revival racing. Saturday May 9th will carry the theme “Goodwood Firsts” and feature an incredible selection of debut moments from our modern events. These will include the spectacular return of Formula 1 cars to Goodwood in 1994, the first ever Gerry Marshall Trophy, and more moments from the last 28 years of Goodwood history.

Sunday May 10th is dedicated to “Goodwood’s Fastest”, a collection of some of the quickest, mightiest, and flat-out moments that Goodwood has seen since 1993. The day will feature not one, but two Festival of Speed timed shootouts, some of the fastest races Revival and Members’ Meeting have ever seen, and will culminate with a brand new countdown of the fastest Hill runs in Festival history.

As usual in our GRRC Replay series we will host the whole event in full right here on GRR, and the Saturday and Sunday will be accompanied by a full live blog. We want you to join in with all the action by tweeting to us using #GoodwoodSW.

When the event wraps up the whole three days will be available to stream for free to all members of the GRRC Community.
