Video: Nearly crashing TWO Ferrari Lancia D50s into each other is terrifying

Lime Rock Park is a pretty awesome little race track in Connecticut, USA, which holds an apparently (we've not been yet) awesome historic racing festival every year. ...

The circuit is full of great elevation changes and lovely series of corners and is definitely one of the most beautiful places to pedal one of the rarest Formula 1 cars in the world. So it seems an obivous place to take two of the seven remaining Lancia D50s for a race. There should of course be one proviso – do not, under any circumstances, bin it... especially not into each other one.

Well, the scenario we face here is one where the Lancia we ride upon is significantly faster than the cars in front of it – one of which is the other Lancia rarity – and ready to pass, getting a great run out of turn seven and down the long front straight ready to make the overtake into turn one "Big Bend". What happens is the D50 in front definitely does not see his fellow Lancia coming and turns in on our car, leading to a quite brilliant piece of skill to keep one Lancia from spearing into the side of the other. It's all captured from what we assume is a chest-mounted camera too, to make you feel like you're right at the heart of the action. This is guarenteed to get your pulse racing.
