Ferrari has announced a ‘multi-year’ title partnership with Hewlett-Packard, which will see the team change its official name to Scuderia Ferrari HP.
The deal is set to take effect from the Miami Grand Prix next weekend, with Ferrari cars adorned with the HP logo for the first time. HP branding will also feature heavily on the team kit and driver overalls.
Ferrari has already announced it will race in Miami with a one-off livery, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the brand’s presence in the American marketplace, that will see the SF24 incorporate two classic shades of blue from the team’s past: Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino.
This new deal will extend beyond Ferrari’s F1 team, the Scuderia’s F1 Academy and Esports programmes will also incorporate HP title branding, as will the Ferrari Driver Academy.
It’s not just branding, though, Ferrari will be making use of HP products and services throughout its facilities.
“Our founder passed on to us his continuous will to progress. From this stems our drive to innovate on the road and on the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to the education of the younger generation," said Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari.
“In HP we have found the same values, which make it an ideal partner. We look forward to starting our collaboration and facing new opportunities and challenges together."
Enrique Lores, CEO of HP Inc. added: “With technology, performance and exceptional craftsmanship fuelling the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit.
“Both brands are built on rich histories that have endured the test of time. Through this unique collaboration, we also have an opportunity to reach new audiences, drive business growth, and create lasting impact for our shared clients and communities. Together we will leverage the global stage of racing to accelerate sustainable innovation."
Ferrari are currently sat second in the 2024 F1 constructors’ championship, as best of the rest behind Red Bull. Carlos Sainz became the only driver other than Max Verstappen to win a race so far this season when he took victory at the Australian Grand Prix.
Maya Weug’s F1 Academy campaign got off to a solid start as she took two podium finishes in Saudi Arabia. She’ll return to action in Miami.
