As we sit churning out content, moderating the chat and enjoying the sights and sounds of the Monaco Historic, a debate has blossomed and continued to brew in our little corner of the media centre.
What is the best era of Grand Prix racing on show? For looks, I’d argue 66-72 “dawn of aero” cars. Digital Content Manager Ben disagrees, expressing his fondness for the high-airbox mid-'70s machines. As for sound, we’re all in agreement that we love a twelve-banger, be it flat or in a V – Ferrari, Matra or otherwise.
So rather than scupper our productivity bickering all the time, why don’t you settle it for us? Perhaps the pre-war machinery takes the cake or the front-engined cars? Maybe a diminutive early-‘60s machine is more to your tastes, or the peak of “Formula DFV” and the dawn of ground-effect? Have a browse and vote down below!
