McLaren’s Special Operations (MSO) division has today revealed a special collection of six bespoke ‘green’ McLaren 570GT models.
The half-a-dozen special MSO 570GTs will all be painted in the same ‘XP Green’ coachwork colour as the original McLaren F1 XP GT ‘Longtail’ homologation car, built 20 years ago in 1997. The F1 Longtail GT race car was a development of the road-going F1, but instantly recognisable by its distinctive extended tail and deep bottle green paint finish.
The bespoke interior of the six special XP Green 570GTs will be trimmed in Saddle Tan leather, with green leather inserts and contrast stitching. A special ‘dedication’ plaque will be affixed to the centre console below the infotainment screen to identify each of the six models.
Externally the six XP Green 570GTs will wear Saddle Tan aero pin-stripe edging to match each car’s special leather interior, with the striping featuring on the front aero blades, side skirts and rear diffuser, with the doors carrying a special rearward-running stripe that includes a subtle Union flag emblem.
Special MSO Black exterior components replace the front splitter, side air intakes, door inserts, side skirts and rear bumper, as well as the diffuser and spoiler, all of which would usually be finished in the McLaren’s body colour or Dark Palladium.
The special MSO content adds £21,000 to the retail price of the six XP Green 570GTs, the MSO enhancements also including a GT Upgrade Pack (vehicle lift, rare view camera, alarm upgrade, Bowers & Wilkins audio system and car cover) as well as five-spoke lightweight forged alloy wheels in a Stealth finish. The overall price of the six McLaren 570GT XP Green MSO Collection models is £188,567.
