For most, the summer break evokes fond memories of the seemingly endless school holidays, where the only worry was whether you’d see your besties before September. But for Formula 1 fans it means more than three weeks without racing, or 25 days to be precise. What are we meant to do with our weekends?!
Luckily, there exists a wonderful place called YouTube, and the friendly folk over at Formula 1 have been populating it with awesome videos in preparation for the dry spell. So here are five videos to tide you over until first practice of the Belgian Grand Prix on Friday 30th August…
If there’s anything funnier than F1 team radios, please let us know, because some of these are brilliant…
Another from the Hungaroring, this little compilation, as the name suggests, features five shocking moments from the Hugarian Grand Prix, from Massa’s fiery finish in 2008 to the epic dance between Schumacher and Barrichello back in 2010, one that proved to be a little too dangerous for Barrichello.
Proof that racing drivers are human, too, check out this compilation of funny, and some downright awkward, press conference moments.
One from our home race at Silverstone, listen to ex-Renault F1 driver Jolyon Palmer’s evaluation of the race, including Bottas' battle with Hamilton, Vettel's collision with Verstappen and more.
And finally, a bit of history for your holidays. As Mercedes celebrates 125 years in motorsport, Will Buxton looks back on the German car maker’s success in the sport.
