It’s not all there but it’s a tangible snapshot – a preview for what’s to come. It’s not the full action setpiece or the massive twist. It is a look at what to expect. It’s not a full grid of ‘50s F1 cars belching flames ready for the off but it is a 250F giving it death out of the pits in readiness for that moment. Little Minis rip down the straights, valves battering their bonnets, practising for when those big burly saloons are chasing them down on the way up to Madgwick. It’s the perfect preview and we’re only three days away.
