There's a mix of familiar names and brand new for 2019 races – some of which we have already revealed – helping to keep the event as fresh as possible as it enters the second half of its first decade.

Expect to see the usual '70s and '80s touring car bruisers of the Gerry Marshall Trophy, fighting twice over the weekend, as well as big-banger GTs and even a race filled with just mighty Minis. Our 12 race schedule should have something for all tastes.

Parnell Cup

For Grand Prix and Voiturette Cars of a type that raced between 1935 and 1953

The first cars that raced at the Goodwood Motor Circuit were a mixture of pre-war grand prix cars and the latest post war machinary. The Parnell Cup, named after legendary racing driver, and Goodwood victor, Reg Parnell, will see these cars go head-to-head for victory once more.

Gerry Marshall Trophy

For Group 1 saloon cars of a type that raced between 1970 and 1982

Run in memory of British saloon-car king Gerry Marshall, whose big build, big personality and big skill wowed racegoers in the 1970s and ’80s, this two-part thrash for Group 1 saloon cars of a type that raced between 1970 and 1982 is always epic. Chunky Rover SD1s, slippery 3.0S Ford Capris and grunty Chevrolet Camaros will battle hard in Saturday’s two-driver, 45-minute feature and again in Sunday’s 15-minute sprint, with Triumph Dolomite Sprints, VW Golf GTIs and Mini 1275GTs snapping at their heels.

Tony Gaze Trophy

For road-going sports and GT cars of a type that raced between 1954 and 1959

Returning to the Members' Meeting for the first time since the first reincarnated event – the Tony Gaze Trophy will feature some stunning '50s GT machinary in action again. Named after famed pilot-turned racing driver Tony Gaze, whose advice to Freddie March helped create the Goodwood motor circuit, expect to see such stunners as Ferraris, Aston Martins, Jaguars and more in action.

Derek Bell Cup

For 1-litre Formula 3 cars of a type that raced between 1964 and 1970

Creating a superb spectacle as they screamed around the Motor Circuit in close formation during each of their previous three visits, the one-litre Formula 3 cars of a type that raced between 1964 and 1970 will be back in 2018 for the hotly contested Derek Bell Cup, named after the Goodwood favourite and local ace who cut his teeth in the formula in period. A packed grid of Brabhams, Marches and Tecnos, among other iconic names, are sure to recreate some of the magic.

Sheene Trophy

For Formula 750 motorcycles of a type that raced in F750 and open 750cc races worldwide up to 1972

The Sheene Trophy will see the finest air-cooled, four-stroke Formula 750 racing machines, transporting spectators from the rolling hills of the South Downs to Daytona Beach and the legendary Daytona 200 races of the early 1970s.

Such was the success of the Daytona 200 that it was decided that Europe needed to have its own equivalent, and thus the ‘European Daytona’ was created with the Imola 200. The all-new Members’ Meeting race takes its name from an incredibly loved and greatly missed friend of Goodwood – Barry Sheene. Sheene won the inaugural F750 Championship, a British-based series, in 1973, held one year after the FIM adopted F750 regulations as a separate class.

John Duff Trophy presented by IWC

For Vintage sports racing cars of a type that raced prior to 1930

John Duff is a legend in Canadian motorsport, noted as not only the first Canadian to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours, but the only one to date to have taken overall victory at La Sarthe, having won the 1924 race for Bentley alongside Frank Clement. As well as his Le Mans triumph, Duff held over 50 world records in both speed and endurance.

The Members’ Meeting will pay tribute to Duff with an eye-watering selection of vintage machinery from the late 1920s. Naturally, Bentleys will be out in force in homage to the man responsible for bringing Bentley to Le Mans, while Bugattis, Vauxhalls, Mercedes-Benz and Alfa Romeos will be vying to take home the spoils.

Graham Hill Trophy presented by Woodham Mortimer

For closed-cockpit GT cars and prorotypes in the spirit of the RAC TT races, 1960-1964

No prizes for knowing who the race for GT cars of a type that raced at Goodwood from 1960 to 1966 is named after. Returning to the Members’ Meeting line-up for the third consecutive year, the Graham Hill Trophy will feature beautiful machines that did battle in the RAC Tourist Trophy during Goodwood’s glorious heyday when top aces powerslid round the Motor Circuit in AC Cobras, Aston Martin DB4GTs and Jaguar E-types.

Gurney Cup

For sports-prototypes of a type that raced between 1960 and 1966.

“Gurney Cup – For Group 4 and Group 7 sports racing cars of a type that raced between 1960 and 1966. Set to be a David-versus-Goliath battle, the all-new Gurney Cup will highlight the diversity of Dan Gurney’s sportscar career, with thunderous V8 Ford GT40s and early McLaren M1As trying to drown out smaller-engined challengers from Porsche, Elva and Lotus.”

Betty Richmond Trophy

For Mini saloons and variants, of up to 1300cc.

Regarded as one of the central figures in 1960s British pop culture, the Mini enjoyed huge success from the outset, both as the Austin Seven and the Morris Mini-Minor, going on to become one of the most recognisable vehicles on British roads.

Goodwood’s tribute to the diminutive family car takes its name from the Duke of Richmond’s grandmother, who would tear around the Estate’s roads in her beloved Mini, one of the very first off the production line thanks to her husband, the 9th Duke of Richmond’s good relationship with Alec Issigonis, the designer of the original Mini.

Peter Collins Trophy

For sports racing cars of a type that raced between 1948 and 1955

Another race that makes a welcome return after a break of a few years. Last seen at the 74^th Members' Meeting, the Peter Collins Trophy will feature some absolutely beautiful drum-braked sportscars from the 1950s, helping to close our weekend out with a stunning evocation of the legendary Goodwood Nine Hour races. Expect to see such names as Maserati, Jaguar, Frazer Nash and more fighting for victory.
