The countdown to the first motorsport event of the 2025 Goodwood season is underway, and we can now reveal new details of the 82nd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport as Goodwood gets set for the flag to drop on the first ever GT3 Shootout.
It’s another incredibly rare opportunity to experience modern racing cars in action on the Goodwood Motor Circuit, and one that’s bound to provide plenty of unmissable action as part of a stacked race schedule set to unfold over Members’ Meeting weekend.
A wide spectrum of homologated GT3 racers from 2006-2012 will take to the Motor Circuit over the course of the weekend for a series of dynamic demos and a full-throttle Shootout that will take a similar form to that of the Sidecar Shootout from the 81st Members’ Meeting.
That sidecar competition proved to be so popular that the Shootout format will return with an entry list of eight GT3 racers. Driven by a selection of legendary drivers, they’ll compete in a qualifying round on Saturday before the Shootout final on Sunday.
Alongside the competitive element, a total field of 20 GT3 racers will take part in a demonstration on both Saturday and Sunday morning, where spectators can look forward to revelling in the noise of highly-tuned and generally enormous V8, V10 and V12 engines.
This era of GT3 was a particularly potent one, with entries regularly featuring 5.2-litre V10-engined Audi R8s, 6.0-litre V12-engined Aston Martin DBRS9s and 4.4-litre V8-engined BMW Z4s, with several more interesting machines likely to be in attendance at the 82nd Members’ Meeting.
The 82nd Members’ Meeting takes place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April 2025. Tickets are on sale now for GRRC Members and Fellows, purchase before the 31st December to make the most of early bird prices. You can find more information about joining the Fellowship here.
