SpeedWeek is but a distant memory, and all eyes are on 2021’s exciting events. But there’s always time for healthy reflection, and today we’re looking back at the inaugural Goodwood Driftkhana.

The unique motorsport challenge combines sprinting – like in an autosolo – with judged drifting past proximity sensors around Goodwood Motor Circuit and its outfield roads. It’s a hilarious test of driving precision and we were treated to some marvellous displays of both dexterity and disaster from drivers including Steve 'Baggsy' Biagioni, in his mighty LS-powered Nissan GT-R and triple Formula Drift champion James Deane, in his wonderful E46 M3. The pair were joined by rally star Rhys Yates in his Fiesta R5, Vaughn Gittin Jr. in the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 and Manfred Stohl in the all-electric Fiesta e-WRX.

Presented by ‘Queen B’, aka Becky Evans, this video is a wonderful look back at one of SpeedWeek’s most exciting events.
