The beautiful thing about the virtual world is that you can do things you might think twice about in real life. Take for instance the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Would we want to send modern GT cars racing around it? Probably not. On Gran Turismo Sport for the Goodwood eTrophy presented by Mastercard, not a problem.
Watch as real racers take to the virtual Motor Circuit, alongside sim racing royalty. That's the likes of Marino Franchitti, Rob Huff, Darren Turner, Oli Webb, Goodwood circuit-record holder Nick Padmore and more going up against Failrace.
The car roster is a stonker. Franchitti in a McLaren 650S, Turner in an Aston Martin Vantage (naturally), Failrace in an NSX, Padmore in a Huracan, Webb in a Porsche 911 and Priaulx in a Ford Mustang. Rob Huff takes an Audi R8 LMS, while Anthony Reid tries a Nissan GT-R and Sam Hancock goes for a Jaguar F-Type.
There is a degree of carnage and a smattering of ‘rubbing is racing’. While some drivers get caught up in physical shenanigans and dramatic offs, that serves only as an opportunity for others to eek out a convincing lead.
