But we’re willing to bet that if you compiled a list of the top five, the Ferrari 250 GTO would be somewhere in the mix. Why? Well, aside from the fact that the 250 GTO is one of the most valuable cars on earth, its V12 produces a noise like this.
With an onboard camera with Jo Bamford and his 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO, we can hear that glorious V12 ever so clearly. Moreover, hot on the heels of a Jaguar E-type and with a Corvette and another E-type chasing close behind, we get the kind of historic racing battle that, were it not for the Goodwood Revival, we could only dream of.
And remember, while there isn’t a Goodwood Revival in 2020 there is a new, one-off and truly thrilling event at Goodwood in October: Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard. Alongside some of the cars from the Revival’s RAC TT Celebration like the 250 GTO, there will be F1 cars, rally heroes, Edwardian leviathans and so much more, not to mention some of the world’s greatest drivers. What is Goodwood SpeedWeek? Read our handy guide to find out more.
