As we enter September we pass the third date marked on our calendar where there should have been a motorsport event at Goodwood. Sadly, COVID-19, and the measures in place to fight a worldwide pandemic have put paid to chances of you joining us for some live action. But, while you won’t see a live Revival in 2020, GRR is here to bring you your yearly classic Goodwood racing fix, with a three-day streaming extravaganza.
Helping to not only replace the missing Revival, and fill your eyes and ears with classic racing goodness, the weekend stream – over 11th-13th September – will also help whet your appetite for what is to come at Goodwood’s first, and only, SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard, taking place in October.
The stream will be themed, similar to our successful Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard and Members’ Meeting streams, which filled the weekends on which those events should have taken place – with each day celebrating a different aspect of the event’s history.
Day one, Friday 11th September, will be filled with the greatest races that the Revival has ever seen – including the best of the St Mary’s Trophy touring cars and RAC TT big banger GTs. A back catalogue of over 25 years worth of races has produced some truly extraordinary racing, but we’ve managed to select our favourite moments to bring to you.
The second day, Saturday 12th September, will be a celebration of the greatest individual drives that Goodwood has seen. This is the performances by one, or more, drivers in a race that have truly taken our breath away, including such stars as Sam Tordoff, Phil Keen and Tom Kristensen.
On the third and final day, Sunday 13th September, we will feature the greatest cars ever to race at Goodwood Revival. These are the races that have featured some of the absolute legends of racing history, in close battle with each other on track.
The cars seen over the weekend are the kinds you can hope to see at Goodwood SpeedWeek in October. You can find out more details about this amazing event by reading our handy guide.
