Video: Whitsun Trophy 2016 race highlights

Well, as it goes, a lot more than did go wrong. All in all the Whitsun Trophy was a relatively calamity free race. The odd spin, and maybe a tyre wall tap, but nothing expensive. All clean otherwise! As for the racing? Absolutely spectacular. The newly-built Lotus 19 recreation stole the glory with some spectacular management of that Oldsmobile V8 power courtesy of wheelman and World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff. Mike Whittaker in the T70 that was giving chase put in a valiant effort, and Tiff in the Lotus-Ford had an absolute ball with that big V8 in the low grip conditions – flailing his hands in the air with jubilation as he crossed the line.
