These are machines that were deployed to race following the end of the war. Pre-War cars were recovered and new cars were cobbled together amid the resource-strapped times of post-War recovery. These are a symbol of an indestructible competitive motor racing spirit bouncing back following the toils of conflict.
Watch, in the video above, as Alfas, ERAs, Ferraris, Maseratis, MGs and many more toil it out under ominous skys as the air gradually thickens with the weight of a coming storm. The skinny-tyred old timers get a good thrashing, with tails hanging out, close to call battles unfolding and a few crunches too.
