These machines are quintessential examples of mans overbearing passion for competition, as competitive machines spanning a period of nearly 20 years were assembled for a return to the racetrack in the years following the end of the Second World War. Though quickly usurped by new developments, these old beasts served to blow the cobwebs off the goggles and gloves of period drivers – shortly freed from Wartime duties.
