The Jaguar D-Type. Its engineering and aesthetic informed the development of what is largely considered one of the most beautiful motorcars ever made – the E-Type. It’s a bonafide endurance racing legend, too, winning the Le Mans 24 Hours with various teams through 1955, 1956 and 1957.
As a proven winner and as one of the brightest shining motorsport jewels in Jaguar’s crown, the D-Type will always have a place in Goodwood’s heart. At 2014’s Revival we saw fit to celebrate the seminal model’s 60th birthday by putting it to work. In the video above, watch as over two dozen D-Types hack it out at the Motor Circuit.
We can’t wait to see them at it again during the Sussex Trophy at this year’s Revival.
