If there were any remnant of a dawn daze left in us, it’s been rattled out by the whipping of covers off cars and the distant drawl of Spitfires overhead. There’s no stopping it, Revival day three looms large.
Sunday morning at the Revival is always an eerie one. The air is filled with tension and anticipation as the final day of action is set upon us, with the fireworks of the RAC TT Celebration to come. We’re all as tired from what’s come before as we are excited for what’s to come, as the sun rises over the final day of our 2023 motorsport season.
For one final time we’ll be celebrating the Chapman years of Lotus with an epic parade of his incredible ‘Team Lotus’ cars. For one final time, we’ll be honouring Carroll Shelby in the hundredth anniversary year of his birth, with a parade of Le Mans-winning GT40s, snarling Cobras and all the other incredible projects he rung in. For one final time, the bobbers and choppers will rumble around our track.
But we’re excited. Because on top of all that, we see the Glover Trophy, the Sussex Trophy, the concluding parts of the St. Mary’s Trophy and the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy and of course, the thundering RAC TT Celebration to bring it all to a close. One more time, with feeling.
