Sunday morning at the Goodwood Revival is always one of mixed emotions. As you stumble across the dewey car parks, through the gate and through the paddocks, you’re as tired and as ready as you are sad that it’s about to end. Wandering past the slumbering racers, covered as they always are in a layer of dew, with the first whisps of sunlight catching their curves from over the horizon, you take a few deep breaths and psych yourself up, to do it all one last time.
Hopefully our selection of images from the temporary quiet of the early morning of Revival’s last day captures the feeling of anticipation. Everyone knows the Revival always closes out with a crescendo, with the RAC TT Celebration flagship dropping jaws every year. That sense of a pending climax is always palpable in the eerie quiet of the Sunday morning paddocks.
