With race winners on two wheels and four, Grand Prix winners and Le Mans victors, Isle of Man racers and Indianapolis superstars, this year’s Revival is set to be a who’s who of motorsport past and present.

Over 20 Le Mans wins will be shared across the site, with victories spanning the last six decades of the twice-round-the-clock race, including Jackie Oliver, Richard Attwood and Jochen Mass. Two five-time winners will be in action in the shape of Derek Bell and Goodwood House Captain Emanuele Pirro, while Darren Turner will bring a more modern twist, having secured his third GT class win with Aston Martin in 2017.

Current Toyota World Endurance Championship driver Mike Conway will return to the Revival for this first time in three years, jumping behind the wheel of a 1960s touring car in the St Mary’s Trophy. Leading the St Mary’s field out of the Assembly Area will be three-time Indianapolis 500 winner and four-time Indycar champion Dario Franchitti. Franchitti will lead the St Mary’s field in the driving seat of Dan Gurney’s Chevrolet Impala SS, on the car’s first trip back to the UK since the All-American Racer’s one-off British Saloon Car appearance at Silverstone in 1961.

The St Mary’s Trophy will also play host to a number of touring car stars, with a hugely impressive total of 489 touring car victories shared across the Revival, and no fewer than ten touring car champions in the driving seat. Winners from the BTCC including Jason Plato, Matt Neal and reigning champion Ash Sutton will go wheel-to-wheel with World Touring Car stars Gabriele Tarquini, Rob Huff and Gordon Shedden. Even the Japanese Touring Car Championship is represented, with Steve Soper and Anthony Reid both achieving great success in Japan in the mid-1990s.

Finally, the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy will see stars of two wheels share the fastest bikes of the 1950s with their usual owners. With John McGuinness leading the charge of TT stars, there will be 48 wins around the Snaefell Mountain Course on the grid, including Mick Grant, Gary Johnson and James Hillier. Two-time World Superbike champion Troy Corser will bring 33 of 70 Superbike victories to the field, with Michael Rutter and James Haydon also adding to the tally. Three-time World Motorcycle Champion Freddie Spencer will represent Grand Prix racing alongside Jeremy McWilliams, one of only three British riders to win a Grand Prix in the 2000s.
